This pond to the East of the Ring was breached in WWII, presumably by troops learning to drive tanks through water!

These pictures were taken on 1st September 2001

Ancient and Modern !
The water tank on the Skyline was first installed post WWII to feed the water troughs which replaced the function of dewponds.
